Altruist, a leading provider of Telecom VAS platforms and services today
announced the acquisition of iConnectiva a key player in Telecom Revenue Assurance/ Fraud
Management and Big Data Analytics, in an all cash deal. iConnectiva has
multiple deployments across Africa, South East Asia and the Indian
sub-continent.
This
acquisition follows the recent acquisition of Bubble Motion, a celebrity
blogging company with rights to voice blogs of Amitabh Bachhan, Sachin Tendulkar,
Salman Khan and over 1000 A list celebrities from across Asia. iConnectiva is
the sixth acquisition by Altruist – the earlier ones being Mobile2win, Phoneytunes,
RelayStrategy, Teligent AB Sweden and Bubble Motion.

iConnectiva provides a portfolio of
analytics solutions for subscriber data monetization, which enable telecom,
media, and utility companies to lower churn, improve operational effectiveness,
boost ARPU and increase overall profitability.
iConnectiva
has developed a Big data Analytics platform called CMetricA based on open
source technologies. CMetricA is an integrated solution for all layers from
data storage to runtime analytics, batch analytics and complex event
processing. iConnectiva is deploying state-of-the-art prepaid analytics
solutions with predictive modules, asset assurance engines etc. Being a part of
Altruist would open huge possibilities of consumer Social Analytics for
iConnectiva.
iConnectiva
will continue to operate as an independent enterprise from Kolkata with
synergies being extended across the Altruist group companies for mutual
benefit. The geographical spread of the Group will now be more than 40
countries across 4 continents.
