Avendus tops League Table for Transaction Advisors to PE deals in Q1'23

Aeka Advisors and Ambit claim the No.2 & 3 slot Avendus topped the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to Private Equity Transactions for Q1 2023 advising 5 deals worth $808 million. Aeka Advisors stood second having advised 3 deals worth $228 million. Ambit followed with 4 deals worth $160 million. Ernst & Young ($114 million across 4 deals) and o3 Capital ($80 million across 2 deals) completed the top five for Q1 2023. Avendus acted as advisor to ADIA’s $500 million investment in omnichannel eyewear retailer Lenskart . Aeka Advisors acted as advisor to Kreditbee’s $160 million fundraise from Advent International, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and existing investors. Ambit advised the $104 million fundraise of Freshtohome from Mount Judi Ventures, Iron Pillar, Amazon and others. Avendus tops League Table for Transaction Advisors to Private Equity deals for Q1 2022

Citi and JM Financial claim the No.2 slot Avendus topped the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to Private Equity Transactions for Q1 2022. Avendus advised 11 deals worth $1.8 Billion. Citi and JM Financial stood second having advised 1 deal worth $593 million. They were followed by Axis Capital , JP Morgan , and Nova Dhruva Capital with 1 deal worth $486 million. PwC ($320 million across 2 deals) and IndigoEdge ($139 million across 4 deals) completed the top five for Q1 2022. Among the larger private equity deals in Q1 2022, Avendus acted as advisor to food delivery unicorn Swiggy's $634 million fundraise, led by Invesco . Citi and JM Financial advised the $593 million acquisition of IDFC Asset Management Company by a consortium comprising Bandhan Financial Holdings Limited and private equity investors GIC and ChrysCapital . Veda Corporate Advisors & o3 Capital top by deal volume; EY tops table inclusive of due diligence & other services ICICI Securities claimed the top position in the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to Private Equity deals in H1 2017 acting as financial advisor to the $383 million stake sale in ICICI Lombard General (by Fairfax Holdings) to investors including Warburg Pincus . SBI Capital Markets Tops League Table for Financial Advisor to Private Equity Transactions in 2016

Unitus Capital tops by deal volume; PwC, EY top table inclusive of due diligence & other services SBI Capital Markets claimed the top position in the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to Private Equity deals in 2016 acting as financial advisor to three qualifying PE investments worth $2,030 million. SBI Caps which advised the $1,630 million acquisition of tower assets of Reliance Infratel by Brookfield was followed by Ambit Corporate Finance ($1,645 million across two deals) and UBS Securities  ($1,630 million across one deal). Business Today has a cover story on the phenomenon. Among the "bigger boutiques", Veda Corporate Advisors, set up by C. Venkat Subramanyam and M. Vinod Kumar, who have been together for 20 years, through three jobs and two entrepreneurial ventures, has 20 people. Jacob Mathew, M. Very often we see entrepreneurs consulting with well wishers, old-time chartered accountants or their loyal CFOs during the deal-making process. Usually this is the first time anybody is dealing with private equity transactions and are therefore completely out of their depths.
