Citi and JM Financial claim the No.2 slot
Avendus topped the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to Private Equity Transactions for Q1 2022. Avendus advised 11 deals worth $1.8 Billion. Citi and JM Financial stood second having advised 1 deal worth $593 million. They were followed by Axis Capital, JP Morgan, and Nova Dhruva Capital with 1 deal worth $486 million. PwC ($320 million across 2 deals) and IndigoEdge ($139 million across 4 deals) completed the top five for Q1 2022.
Among the larger private equity deals in Q1 2022, Avendus acted as advisor to food delivery unicorn Swiggy's $634 million fundraise, led by Invesco. Citi and JM Financial advised the $593 million acquisition of IDFC Asset Management Company by a consortium comprising Bandhan Financial Holdings Limited and private equity investors GIC and ChrysCapital. Axis Capital, JP Morgan, and Nova Dhruva Capital acted as the advisors to Bain Capital's $486 million acquisition of a 25% stake in IIFL Wealth Management (from Fairfax India and General Atlantic).

Avendus topped the tables in terms of deal volume having advised 11 deals during Q1 2022. This was followed by Unitus Capital with 7 deals. Boon Capital took the third spot with 5 deals. IndigoEdge and Basic Roots Consulting took the fourth spot with 4 deals each. Spark Capital Advisors, Veda Corporate Advisors, Merisis Advisors, and DPNC Advisors took the fifth spot with 3 deals each.

Inclusive of its roles in due diligence and related advisory activities, Ernst & Young topped the table, having advised 19 deals worth $2.6 Billion followed by Avendus with 11 deals worth $1.8 Billion. Transaction Square took the third spot having advised 9 deals worth $602 million. Citi and JM Financial stood fourth having advised 1 deal worth $593 million. They were followed by Axis Capital, JP Morgan, and Nova Dhruva Capital with 1 deal worth $486 million.
AVA Insights topped the table by volume having advised 21 deals. Ernst & Young took the second spot with 19 deals. The third spot went to BDO India having advised 18 deals. Avendus (11 deals) took the fourth spot, with Transaction Square and Aeka Advisors (9 deals each) completing the top five.
