Deloitte topped the Venture Intelligence League Table for Transaction Advisor to M&A Deals in H1'19. Deloitte advised M&A deals worth $2.8 Billion (across 6 qualifying deals) during the period. Ambit Corporate Finance ($2.4 Billion across 4 deals) and Ernst & Young ($2 Billion across 7 deals) took the second and third spot. KPMG ($2 Billion across 6 deals) and Axis Capital ($1.6 Billion across 2 deals) completed the top five.
The Venture Intelligence League Tables, the first such initiative exclusively tracking transactions involving India-based companies, are based on value of PE and M&A transactions advised by Transaction and Legal Advisory firms.
The largest deal advised by Deloitte was Power
Finance Corporation's merger with Rural Electrification Corporation for $2.1 Billion. Ambit Corporate Finance advised Brookfield's $1.9 Billion buyout of Pipeline
Infrastructure from Reliance Industries. Ernst & Young advised the sale of Tata Chemical's branded food business to Tata Global Beverages.

& Young topped the table in terms of deal volume with 7 deals. Deloitte, KPMG and Singhi Advisors
shared the second place advising 6 deals each. Ambit Corporate Finance occupied the third spot with 4 deals.

Inclusive of its
roles in due diligence and related advisory activities, RBSA Advisors topped the tables with value of $4.8 Billion
(across 5 qualifying deals). Deloitte
took the second place advising 15 deals worth $3.6 Billion. BDO India stood third with 9 deals
worth $3.6 Billion. This was followed by Ambit Corporate Finance (4 deals worth $2.4 Billion) and SBI
Caps (2 deals worth $2.2 Billion) in fourth and fifth place respectively.
By deal volume, Deloitte stood first with 15 deals. Ernst & Young and BDO India shared the second place advising 9 deals each. KPMG occupied the third spot with 7 deals. Transaction Square, PwC and Singhi Advisors shared the fourth place with 6 deals each. RBSA Advisors took the fifth place with 5 deals.
