Gurgaon-based Grey Orange Robotics (GOR), which develops warehouse automation systems, has raised funding from a consortium of investors led by Blume Ventures and BITS Spark Angels, and others including The Hatch, Rajesh Sawhney and Samir Sood. Sanjay Nath of Blume Ventures will join the GOR board, while Abhinav Khushraj will be a board observer representing the BITS Spark Angels group. GOR claims significant customer traction from e-commerce players including Flipkart and Yebhi.
GOR, founded in 2009 by BITS-Pilani alumni Samay Kohli and Akash Gupta, launched India’s first automated warehousing system in November 2012. Earlier, Kohli and Gupta led their team at BITS to design & develop India’s first indigenous humanoid named AcYut.
