Sequoia Capital has invested Rs.50 crore in ASG Eye Hospitals, a Jodhpur-based super specialty eye hospital chain. ASG currently has nine centers across Rajasthan and plans to use the capital infusion to expand its presence across India, particularly in the northern and central parts of the country. It expects to have 30 centers up and running by 2014.
From the Venture Intelligence PE Deal database: Sequoia Capital India had invested in Vasan Eye Care in three tranches of in February 2009, December 2009 and October 2010. The VC Firm had also made an partial exit in March 2012 by selling its part stake to Singapore’s GIC.
