Catamaran Waterbnase Solutions, a Hyderabad-based supplier of raw fish to star hotels, has raised angel funding from Hyderabad Angels. The start-up, which has crossed the Rs.1 crore turnover mark, currently caters to 67 hotels across Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.
Catamaran was founded by Ravi Yedavalli in 2009. It was one of three firms short-listed for the TiE-ISB Connect 2012, a contest for innovative start-ups, and this helped the company secure funding from Hyderabad Angels. The company plans to raise about Rs.6.5 crore from venture capital funds.
